The "Alaskan Interior" is a constant source of inspiration! Talkeetna has much to offer, summer or winter. If you wish to visit Talkeetna, we recommend the following sources:  Talkeetna Travel ~ for great info on things to do here and help on how to get here.  Talkeetna Roadhouse ~ for the best cinnamon rolls and a clean, cozy place to sleep. If you wish to visit Denali National Park, the options are endless! We are just 58 miles from Denali (aka Mt. McKinley) as the raven flies. An hour or so drive will find you in Denali State Park, and another hour plus will land you at the Denali National Park entrance. NPS/Denali

We are often involved in events with the Denali Arts Council and its Programs: the Talkeetna Artists Guild, the Music Academy, Denali Drama, the Cinema Club, Writers Group and the Green Light Circus.  For more information, you can contact www.denaliartscouncil.org

Talkeetna is also home to Whole Wheat Radio, an internet-based radio station operated from a log cabin, originally. They feature independent musicians and often host house concerts. We also have a local public radio station, KTNA,  that also used to broadcast out of a log cabin, they've moved up the dial to 88.9 and into a bigger building. Now you can stream KTNA live.
